Double Dark Chocolate Protein Cake

Anything covered in chocolate is perfection to me! And if you're a chocolate lover, this cake was made especially for you. It has a rich and decadent chocolate flavor from the chocolate protein powder, dark cocoa powder, and dark chocolate chips. Then it is drizzled with melted dark chocolate chips. It is evil, I tell you, in the best way possible! It makes 8 lovely servings and with only 120 calories/slice, I promise it isn't as naughty as it tastes. Enjoy!


3 egg whites
¼ cup unsweetened chocolate almond milk (or regular milk of choice)
2 tablespoons all-natural cashew butter (or almond butter)
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
2/3 cup oat flour
2 tablespoons dark cocoa powder (or regular cocoa powder)
¼ cup xylitol (or sweetener of choice)
1 teaspoon baking powder

2 tablespoons sugar-free dark chocolate chips


1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F and spray a mini 6” round cake pan with cooking spray.

2. Whisk together egg whites, almond milk and cashew butter in a mixing bowl until completely smooth.

3. Add protein powder, oat flour, cocoa powder, xylitol, & baking powder to a separate mixing bowl. Stir together.

4. Pour liquid ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients and stir until well combined. Stir in 2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips.

5. Pour batter into cake pan and smooth down with a spoon.

6. Bake in the oven for 28-30 minutes, or until top is set.

7. Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons chocolate chips and drizzle on top of cake. Slice into 8 pieces and serve immediately.

* You can also make these into muffins or cupcakes. Bake them in silicone cupcake liners at 350 for 14-18 minutes.
